What do we do to learn? what is there to learn? – Conversations and questions. In this era of hyperspecialization, each one of us is an expert in something. Good use of the knowledge we have is dependent on adjacent knowledge and knowledge of things unrelated. How do we initiate such conversations?
This is what we encourage in our community sessions. We provide for discussions – open ended conversations that help people probe and explore to fathom those depths. In organizations, experts believe that they require no further movement when there is no one visible to question them. We want our experts to build higher levels of expertise and we want our people to learn from our experts. We know that the gap between the person at the top and the next best person is constant.
