5 Benefits of Integrating Oracle Taleo with Oracle EBS HRMS

Many organizations are considering a move to cloud-based human capital management (HCM) applications to reduce capital expenditures. There is also pressure to use inexpensive, subscription-based model as well as advanced features like social media, mobility, and analytics. However, once an HCM solution (such as Oracle Taleo) is chosen, most customers want to know how to integrate it with existing HR systems.

Let’s examine the top three issues driving an Oracle Taleo integration solution. First, organizations want to achieve secure data synchronization of Oracle Taleo with the primary source of HR data (such as Oracle EBS HRMS). Next, they are concerned with the costs involved in implementing and maintaining an integration solution. And finally, they want the integration process to be automated.

While Oracle has come up with standard integrators for advanced versions of Fusion HCM and Taleo, the integration between EBS HRMS and Taleo still calls for additional cost and effort since an out-of-the-box integration is not available.

Oracle Taleo offers a standard Taleo Connect Client (TCC) tool which provides a UI to migrate data into the Taleo application from legacy systems. TCC also maintains the net change of data on a regular frequency between EBS HRMS and Taleo. However, TCC does not come as a part of Oracle Taleo Recruitment Cloud service, so customers must subscribe to an additional license to access the tool.

To help with this, Mindtree offers cost-effective integration options with security to protect sensitive data moving from one application to another. We recommend an approach that enables you to integrate the EBS HRMS application to Taleo without the TCC tool. This solution, based on SOAP web services, makes the integration seamless and secure, and saves you the cost of an extra license.

Our solution is ideal for organizations planning to add Taleo to their Oracle EBS HRMS Application landscape, and it is extensible to other ERP systems like PeopleSoft, with minor changes.

Here are the 5 benefits of Mindtree’s approach to integrating Oracle Taleo with Oracle EBS HRMS:

  1. Ease of configuration: Leverage existing EBS HR consultants to configure this solution on the EBS system. The web service processes are pre-configured and can be plugged into your existing EBS architecture.
  2. Scalability: Web services can be scaled up and utilized for other ERP HR systems like PeopleSoft or Fusion HCM.
  3. Automation: Once configured, automated notifications monitor outcomes and requires no manual intervention for daily runs.
  4. Pricing: The solution does not require additional software licenses.
  5. Security: The data is transferred in real time. For TCC, data is placed in local server and transfer is accomplished with scheduler.

Mindtree can help you configure this solution with an aggressive rapid deployment model as an add-on to an Oracle Taleo end-to-end implementation for recruiting, onboarding, and learning. This solution is part of the accelerator charter of our HCM Center of Excellence (CoE) and has significantly reduced implementation timeframes by 10-15%. And with secure data transfer, you won’t need additional protection for data files being moved across applications.

“However, TCC does not come as a part of Oracle Taleo Recruitment Cloud service, so customers must subscribe to an additional license to access the tool.”

Hi Pradeep. This sentence is incorrect. Orace offers the TCC tool free for download and use.
